Tara was honoured to receive a large commission project from her modern day patron, Swiss Tropical Gardens Papiliorama, www.papiliorama.ch for a sculptured assortment of the animals found in their Belizean sanctuary. Tara continues to add to the collection regularily, and enjoys carving pastoral scenes, as well as pet portraits and her own favourite mythological topics.Working in a hard sculpting wax, Tara whittles and carves, using an image or in some cases from a live model. The carving is then casted into silver, patinaed, polished and finished with gemstones and other jewellery findings if to be used as wearable art.Commissions are welcomed at any time, but please allow for 4 to 6 weeks for completion.
